Hi all!

My 01 SE7 came with black painted rear light guards and front brush guard which are now peeling badly. Does anyone know of a supplier for chromed brush guards and light covers or a company who can strip and chrome the ones I now have? I am in the Denver Colorado area. XXXChroming can do it for me but they are in Wisconsin and the shipping would be highway robbery....Tahnk you for any advice.

Steve.

Okay Guy's....I get the point!!!! forgive me for I have stepped over the line! I bow to you.

Just thought it would look cool but I am not normally a Shiney Guy!!!! Thank you for saving me!

I have a wire wheel paint stripper, I could strip the crud, prime and paint...would that make you happy? I think I would smile!!!! Flakey paint makes me angry....

I want functional and durability over time.

if you chrome your rover, we will lynch you.

i have the pike's ready...

Okay! so I have your attention. I was simply looking for a way to salvage the crappy light guards without having to buy more crappy light guards. I get where you are all coming from and I will strip the ones I have and paint them in an appropriate color.

Thank you for the wake up call!

Ok ok, to answer your question, no, I don't know of any chrome shops in the denver area, but I know there are a few. Try stopping by a good body shop and asking who they would suggest.
BUT I have thought about getting my tail lights and or my brush bar chromed, but I came to the conclusion that it would look dumb. Too much chrome. And I even have chrome bumpers that it would match. (factory, not aftermarket) Which I'm going to change once I get the chance.
Once in a while one will see a disco with a stainless "A" frame bar, and it might look alright. but chrome gets spotty and dirty. If you want to always be cleaning it, go ahead.
(yah, I know I'm walking on thin ice here with my tagline ha ha)
