Re: Indy Shop in Denver Cleared it up for me!

There is so much that can cause ABS problems that to even try to diagnose it without the correct tools is folly.
Correct tool in this case would be ~ 1/2 lb of Semtex
The latest in my attempts to figure out the ABS light is that I checked the resistance for both rear sensors today. My multimeter is a little sketchy at times, but with the test leads shorted I got 0 Ohms, so it looked like it was working. I got the same reading for both rear sensors (about 1.1 K Ohms) and that falls within the prescribed resistance range (the ABS procedure in the TSBs says that the resistance should be between 700 and 2K Ohms).
The fact that both sensors have the same resistance indicates to me that the one that is giving me problems (Code 2-13 = Left Rear) is probably working (?). I didn't have time to do the voltage check with the wheel spinning at 1 RPM.
So after reseating the sensor a few days ago (I'm pretty sure it's seated properly, but maybe I need to drive it in a little harder since I was pretty gentle with it the first try), and checking resistance, what else could be the problem ?? The ABS light came on during a camping trip on a gravel road. Based on feedback I got in the forum I assumed the problem would most likely be a sensor gap, but now I am at a loss as to what else to check.
Any ideas ?
