So I have taken everything apart to get at the dreaded heater core. I cant find coolant coming from the core or o-rings. Has anyone had the aluminum piping itself leak? That is what it seems like to me. It is running down the back of the floor. i.e below where the pipe passes through the bulkhead.

Does anyone know a source for getting that alum piping? I need help!

i've never heard of the pipes leaking. I can almost guarantee its the O-rings. Have you tried pressurizing the cooling system to see where its leaking?

The heater cores leak all the time. You can do it without taking the dash out, but you run the risk of damaging the pipes, in which case you'll have to pull the dash.

Mi friend's 95 Disco TDI did leak first from heater core, and a year later one alluminum tube had a leaking point. He got a new set of tubes from local dealer.
The insulation foam tubes make difficult to find the leak.
