Coolant leak from intake to TB heater

I have a coolant leak from the fitting for the throttle body heater connects to the intake manifold. I think the fitting was knocked loose when I had the intake cleaned during the head gasket rebuild.

What are my options for fixing it? If I took the intake off, I'm sure I could have the hole drilled for NPT pipe thread and a brass fitting put in. What options do I have leaving the intake in place? welding/brazing, jbweld, rtv?

Disconnect the hoses from the TB heater.
Connect them together with a little plastic barbed thingy.
Fcuk dat throttle body heater.
When in the history of ever has a throttle body frozen up?

Others have apparently had no adversities doing so and eliminates potential leak. Good temp repair until doing other mx and having better access if you want to keep original.

But the leak is on the intake manifold that feeds the throttle body heater. Plugging the heater would have no effect on the leak.

I guess he meant bypassing the throttle body heater by pulling the 2 pipes out of the throttle body( one feed coolant into the throttle heater, and the other flow coolant out of the throttle heater), and connect them together.

Google "Throttle body freezing," its not just an issue with Land Rovers. Think about this... Your crank case vent on the drivers valve cover vents into the throttle body. You have steam coming out of the crank vent into the throttle body before the throttle plate and freezing air coming into the intake. Its pretty simple to see how it can freeze...

I guess depending on where in AZ he is he may or may not experience temperatures where TB icing is likely. However, up in the mountains he might.

It shouldn't be a terrible fix if you can get that pipe out. Most likely if it is loose it will come out. I've had the same problem with pressed in fuel barbs on aluminum-bodied carbs. I had pretty good success reinstalling them with copious quantities of loctite.

JB weld would probably work too. Failing all that, you could just drill and tap it for a 45 degree fitting.

I use loc-tite, but on my trucks, I've tapped for 1/8" NPT hose barb. Use a shop-vac and you won't have much risk of getting bits in the coolant.
