Coolant leaking from bellhousing?

So after putting my engine back together, it seems to be leaking coolant from a pinhole in at the rear of the bellhousing where it bolts to the transmission.

I supposed it may not be a pinhole and coming from somewhere else. But I stuck my finger over the apparent pinhole and the fluid acted like it was under pressure and sprayed out from under my finger...

During the install, I had to really jack the engine up against the firewall to get enough clearance for motor mounts. I would up breaking one of the fuel lines.

I wonder if I might have broken something related to the coolant system at the same time...

Engine seems to run fine and there does not appear to be any coolant in the oil.

Sounds like you might have loosened or cracked one of the transmission coolant lines? Is it coolant or is it transmission fluid (color)? Pictures?

Definitely coolant.

I filled it with distilled water only so I didn't waste coolant in case of a leak.

Send pics of coolant leak to show where it's located, also if there's pressure could be head gasket or manifold or water jacket on the block

There's no coolant between the bellhousing and transmission. Anything in that area would be trans fluid...especially under pressure. The only possible leaks (I can think of) are headgaskets, block freeze plugs, manifold gasket (head to intake) or heater hoses at the bulkhead.

Thanks for the info.

I went and did some digging, looks like it's coming from the top rear of the engine, my guess is going to be the intake manifold gasket area.

I will admit I didn't put any RTV on the end seals. From doing some reading, seems I probably should have.

Found the leak.

Appears to be coming from the coolant outlet pipe, then flowing down the rear of the engine and dripping off the bellhousing.

Looks like I totally destroyed the o-ring when I reassembled it.
