I appreciate the importance of staying at home and at the same time I'm exploring options for what I could be doing to help my community - without putting myself or others at risk. I started on Sunday by mowing 6 neighbors' lawns for them. I am going to look into volunteering as a delivery driver for Meals on Wheels. Put the Disco to work. What kinds of volunteer opportunities have others been pursuing?

None.
People are not behaving as ordered here, and even if they were, I've had enough of saving people.

It's cost me too much, and they never learn. I took this shot yesterday, at the absolute last time here to be having a block party.

10 people in attendance, an ice cream truck, everybody moving from group to group... Then heading to other get togethers.

They can catch whatever they like, so far as I'm concerned. Won't keep me up at night.

Cheers,

Kennith

So if I huff some Clorox I'm good to go?

Don't be a dumbass. It's not that simple. You need a gallon of Clorox, a 1/4" nipple, some 1/4" tubing, and an inflatable needle for inflating basketballs and such. Drill a hole into the lid of the Clorox, thread in the nipple, attach the tubbing, to the other end attach the needle. Put the Clorox above your head and jam the needle into the largest vein in your forearm. Drain out the Clorox and you're good to go.

No thanks needed.

I just had to buy 20 m95 masks for $100 for my wife to wear at her job in a hospital. Don't believe the hype, there is still not enough PPE for our health care workers. I can't talk her into the bleach or Lysol flush, that would be cheaper.

I took last week off (vacation, it's just like working!) and I didn't open my work computer at all and only sent one email to my boss.

Tilled up another area that was just hard packed clay and seeded it in grass. I want the grass to grow a few years and build the soil up a bit and then I'll put in something more functional, but being high desert salty clay it's going to take awhile keeping it watered and nourished until I can till it under and put in trees or shrubs, etc.

Built a small pergola in front of a west-facing window. The window, even with UV/heat film still gets too hot to touch in summer so this will throw some shade on it and keep that room a little bit cooler.

Finished planting the garden, added two more 10x6 raised beds. We have tomatoes, leeks, garlic, bush beans, collards, onions, potatoes, dill, associated lettuces, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, associated peppers, cucumbers, spaghetti squash and a couple watermelons. We'll see what happens. Last year (when we bought the place) we just put some stuff in and all that grew were the peppers and beans and tomatoes. We reinvigorated the soil in February, I redid the drip irrigation system to make it cleaner and better run (over the previous 14 years the owners just kept adding drip lines so it was a spider web mess). Fingers crossed.

Put in a screen door where we had one of those As Seen on TV hanging screens with a magnet (the door was steel so the screen would always just blow open and stick to the door). Rode my Ducati 916. Looked for a new Discovery but haven't found one yet....did notice a few Disco IIs on Bring a Trailer that were going for all the money.

Friend of mine told me he's having t-shirts made up that read: "It's flu season, where's your mask now? Don't you care about the 50,000 killed yearly by viruses you're spreading?" It would be funny to see reactions if someone wore one in, say, December if this Covid thing is over and people go back to being booger eaters.

I can also confirm that.

This is a company in the town where I work. Great people there.

everyone talking about doing things they should be able to do with proper time management. What about doing shit you typically can’t do if you’re going to work?

I still work BUT I’ve been growing my toenails out. Seems like the new thing to do is grow a beard and keep a brill cream high and tight, so I figured I go real manly. Toe nails and finger nails.
i had to cut the end of my boots out but I’m now able to climb trees. It’s getting tricky to wipe my ass with the finger nails and jerking off takes creativity.
