All I know is I want to go outside and see if the jaw technique works for extending remote ranges...

Not helping your case there. That was 3.5 years ago when my truck was still pretty new to me.
It really doesn't matter if it was yesterday. Knowing that a grossly overloaded vehicle will lead to broken shit has exactly nothing to do with knowing how long the battery in a remote will last.
I bought my '95 Disco in 2000 and I have no idea how long the battery would last, I never had a remote for it.

Kennith,
Out of respect I won't speak shit....you're either a ruthless accountant or someone who really knows his shit. Appear on a trail with your unbelievable driving skills and the assumptions and I or anyone will be moot girlfriend.

Ruthless accounting happens to be a growing, exciting field of employment.

Cheers,

Kennith

I do this all the time. Seems to work for me.. but who knows, the human mind is a metaphysical mystery and will search for any stretch of correlation.. as this thread so eloquently proves

What parts besides the fuel pump and bcu?

fuel pump assembly(non-lev so it has the pressure switch) EVAP canister (in the engine compartment passenger side against fender on '03's, down by the cruise vacuum assembly by passenger side exhaust manifold on pre-'03's). ditch the dtml charcoal canister on the passenger side frame rail. make friends with your local emissions station guy so the VIN no longer matters.

Damnedest thing, I tried it yesterday coming out of a store and sure enough, it does indeed.

I've been doing that for years. I figured it was common practice. Works like a charm every time. You can often double the range of the remote that way.

Cheers,

Kennith
