You ran out of duct tape?
The black isn't as noticeable and the width was much closer to what I needed. But trust me, duct tape is always a hand reach away. :bigok:
I adjusted the pin (or whatever it's called) to pull the door in tighter when it closes. No tape required.
Correct noise source, but the solution sucks. The part is pretty cheap ($30 for a genuine part at AB), and it takes all of five minutes to swap it.
This is the true problem! Adjust your pin to pull door closed tighter. Made mine nice and tight.
On my white truck the rear door is bent, so I couldn't possibly to pull it in tighter. But the new dovetail worked.
I swapped out the d1 dovetail for the revised roller dovetail years ago when I had this problem. Fixed it for the most part. You can also add a D2 upper door seal by drilling a few holes for the snaps. Seems to have fixed the leak on my 95.
