The only fender trimming is on the inside of the rear fenders behind the tire. Some people just cut the piece that is bend inwards towards the frame off. I have also heard of people taking the bottom rear corners and bending them outwards, so the tire will just stuff up behind them. You don't have to go to extreme cutting to fit 265's on a D1.

The RTE 2" springs will net 2.5-3" of lift. The RTE 3" springs generally net about 4.5" of lift. Why they don't just rename them I'm not sure.

I don't think this is what teledan is asking. You're right and he may get to this point of needing to know actual lift, but one step at a time.

Sorry to hijack but what is the difference (specifically in the drivetrain department) between 3" springs and 2" springs with 1" spacers?

Whether using 3" of spring lift or 2" lift + 1" spacers (talking hypothetical actual movement, you can pick your springs and actual lift later) the axle is moving 3" further away from the upper spring perches; so the driveshaft angles, radius arm angle changes, etc will all be the same between the two notional methods. The usual logical reasons for using one over the other are spring rates, cost and spring availability to get the lift you want. Or as fishEH points out, because you don't usually get 3" of lift from 3" RTE springs.

Maybe I mis-spoke a bit.
3" springs from RTE will net you 4.5" of lift.
2" RTE springs with 1" spacers will net you 3.5-4" of lift.

I'm not aware of any springs that offer 3" of true lift on their own.

Whether you can find springs that give a true 3" on their own OR you use a combination of spacers/springs or just spacers, 3" is 3". So no matter how you get 3" the effects on the drivetrain are the same.
The effects of the drivetrain between a RTE 2" and 3" are more noticable. Parts will wear faster and more will need to be upgraded with an RTE 3".

Well I finally got everything installed. I wish I had taken measurements before so I knew how much actual lift it got. I'll definitely need brake lines front and rear, probably some bump stops, retainers front and maybe rear. Once I get the brake lines, I can test and see what all I'll need..

Well after a couple days of letting the suspension settle, I think the rear is a little low. It has spring isolators top/bottom in the rear and just on top for the front. .5" spacers in the rear should probably level it out

Lift looks good. Try getting a level pic on level ground. Hard to tell anything from those shots.

You can measure to see how its sitting.......tape measure from bottom of the wheel rim(where wheel weight would go) to the wheel arch straight up and compare front versus rear heights.....take tire pressures out of it and will tell you suspension height
