Do any of you have an image or access to a working D1 head unit? I need to know how to route a cassette belt as mine has snapped. Should be pretty simple, but an image would save me a lot of time and effort.
So good news... the 6 disc changer works and I was able to jam out to ZZ Top's Greatest Hits. The drive belt for my tape deck was nowhere to be found so I replaced it with a generic belt from a variety pack I ordered off of amazon. Everything seems taunt and I could spin all of the three contact points and have each other point spin in response. The tape deck accepts the tape and loads it.
Bad news is the tape deck is still not playing properly. Tape deck accepts tape, loads onto two players. Deck mechanicals make a lot of noise. The component marked attempts to press toward the loaded tape. Cycle repeats several times and then the tape deck ejects the tape. Obviously something is failing to fall into position. Anyone had this issue?
Discovery I - iPod / MP3 player integration in a D1 - For the longest time I have searched high a low for a simple way to connect my ipod / mp3 player to my factory stereo. I believe I have figured out the simplest way to do so. The first catch... YOU MUST HAVE A WORKING CD PLAYER IN YOUR TRUCK...
