I am running a Magnaflow that sounds nice, no resonator. Local performance muffler shop did the work. I don't remember the number.

Maybe I should have have specified......I want it as dirt cheap as possible. I'll be welding this in myself.
So, are there any non-Rover mufflers that are known to work.

I had a Magnaflow on the 96 with no resonator. Sounded good. Drowns out the transfer case whine and squeaks and rattles. That being said I'm enjoying the quiet of the stock system on the 98. The Magnaflow is WAY quieter than the Flowmasters I had on my Scout with a side exit. That set off car alarms when I drove by.

That's going to be louder than I want, I think.

My buddy has a straight pipe on his 96, with cats. Its really not loud at all. Sounds pretty mean when you get on it... even cooler bc its a stick shift. Compared to my buddy's Chevy pickups with exhausts the Disco is much quieter.

If you cut the stock muffler off right at the front hanger, any 2 1/2" aftermarket muffler will slide right over stock exhaust. Advanced Auto had everything to replace my stock muffler with a turbo muffler.

Sounds great. Not too loud even though the turbo muffler was only $32 el cheapo. I have less than $60 and it all bolted on.

The Bosal muffler part # 210815 is a worthless piece of shit !

I bought one for my 95 Disco from Rockauto back in Nov 2014.

From day one the connection at the flange on the Y pipe leaked and was loud as hell, about two months ago the muffler started to rattle and sound like a snare drum , i look at the muffler and there are three seperate cracks now running perpendicular.

I called Rockauto to tell them since the muffler is supposed to be still under warranty and i was given a line of bullshit that it probably was not installed properly, i tell them that i installed it, the asshole asks me " well are you a mechanic " i say yes in a previous life you FUCKING JERKOFF. I call back and speak to someone else since the other guy had the nerve to hang up on me :D.

I was told that "I" would have to return the muffler to Bosal for inspection to see if there are any manufacturing defects.
