It's been a while since I've posted, so I thought I'd share my latest cooling issue...
Mine is a '98 D1 with roughly 150k miles and the origional radiator/ cooling system etc. (new t-stat though)
So long story short, the radiator failed. It was a slow process, welded adaptors were leaking a little bit, and now so much that every time I stop at my destination, it pisses all of the coolant all over the ground. Filled it up, brought it to the shop for a list of parts to order, and when the mechanic came out to look, a new pinhole on the top had sprung, and was spewing fluid all over.
Needless to say, a new radiator, hoses, clamps and adaptors are on the way.
Money is tight so I'll probably end up doing this myself, any tips I should know about for this job? or is it pretty much a old one out, new one in sort of deal?
