Has anyone tried to fix the motors in the actuators like in the D1's? Searched around a bit and couldn't find anyone who has.

Just curious cause I have a bunch of new cheap door locks laying around and would love to fix these things for free. I just haven't had the time with all the snow outside.

I've been wanting to tear apart one to try and see if there is a fix for it, but don't want to rip a door apart and not know how long it will take to repair. I've been looking for a broken one which is cheap enough where ripping it apart and not finding a fix isn't going to tick me off, but no luck yet.

I tried this and once I got it opened up, I laughed out loud and bought a replacement.. they are not worth the headache...

unless you have a degree in mechanical engineering, these German engineered marvels should be sent to a clock repair place to be fixed..

I ordered two from Atlantic British with two day delivery this morning. Hopefully I will have some new ones by Friday but I doubt it because I haven't received a tracking number yet.
