Not sure if that's the proper name or not, but on my D2 I noticed last night that the one rubber boot covering the bottom joint on the D/S front hub assembly has torn. I'll get a picture when I can but basically there look to be a top and bottom joint that the whole wheel assembly pivots on when you turn the steering wheel.
Two questions:
1) How big of a job is this and wht exactly needs to be replaced, RN's catalog didn't break down this section at all
2) I generally consider these sort of things fairly serious since you have an exposed bearing that will get all sorts of road crap in it, I'm supposed to be leaving today for Maine, 1600 miles each way. I can minimize my driving up there, but this is my only vehicle option to get there. I have no idea when it happened, but do you think I'm alright on this or should I dry dock the truck until I can fix it?
