D2 Tips & tricks

During the past 25,000 miles I have discovered some interesting features of my 04 D2.

- Hold the lock button on the remote and the lights stay on for 30 seconds.

- Hold the trip reset for 3 seconds and it switches from miles to kilometers

- Hold the "off" and "recirculation" buttons down for 3 seconds and the temp changes from F to C. Must be done while system is off.

Please add anything you have found. I am sure there is a lot I am missing.

Step on the gas hard then let off of it suddenly and the check engine light flashes.

I'm still rolling from the nominations for hall of fame threads.

I love this site and all the smartass humor.

Here's one:

Put a locker in the rear end with some HD shafts, a CDL kit and some mud tires, and that thing will go places.

I found that when I read the book in the glove box, I can find out all the features of my new appliance.

take it to the dealer for "scheduled maintenence" and it'll come back with a leaking oil filter...which was that loose....really. Just the final nail ion my Dealers suck rant from the other week.

I got one, but it works for any DII...
When you are to far from your truck to get the remote to work, hold the damn thing up to your chin and it acts like a booster for your remote. One of my buddies showed me this.
