There have been a few threads here about Dwebers deploying and some of you all wanted contact info so you could send shit to us.

I will be crossing the pond this time next month with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit.

If you dont know what these units do check this out:
http://192.156.19.109/26thmeu/index.htm

The best and worst part about this kind of deployment is that we really dont know what we will be doing. When ever and where ever the regional commanders need us we go.

They are usually a good time with lots of training with other countries, humanitarian assistance, embassy evacs, ect...

If you want to send packages to my platoon and me send me a PM and i will forward you my mail address.

Please do not post the address on an open forum.

I will have sporadic internet access while out too, but if not i wont be back until around St Paddy's day.

Thanks again!

God bless you and yours; my familes' prayers will be for you and your family. My brother was stationed somewhere near the palace (Camp name withheld)
and he returned safely in 4/07. That was his 2nd tour...:patriot:

Semper Fi Gunny, get some for the rest of us.

Is the Tortuga in the group? I did a Med in 92 aboard that fine Navy taxi, with 26th Meu no less.

As far as what to send:

Magazines (what ever kind you like, but remember its all young hard charging men, I will take what ever old LRO or LRM's you want to give along with any other 4x4/Land Rover stuff)
Dip (Copenhagen especially)
Smokes
Cigars (more along the line of good ones, vice the "King Edward" kind)
Candy (chocolate doesn?t travel well, it usually ends up as a gooey mess)
Old but still good DVD's
As odd as it sounds, but a note or card will always brighten up the boys, especially since we will be out for the big holidays.
What ever else you may want to send off.

If I have a particular Marine who seems to be getting verry little to nothing at all from his family I will let you all know and ask to send him something. It can really brighten up their spirits.

Thanks again!

O, and please don?t send any liquids. Unless you know how to wrap them properly??

Empty mouth wash bottles work well...

Mothballed? She was new in 92, we were the first Marines to deploy on her.
