Rubicon was gay compared to Dusi..... Yeah , I said it,,,GAY.... So does that mean I am hard core ? I never considerd it to be so..... So where are the pics of Dusi ? You told me to ask you and I did..... The fucking Hammers ? LOL , I love when that gets brought up. whats the longest "Trail" in the hammers ?

Good shots.. However I like trails a bit more then obstacles coarses...

I played... now its your turn. There are still only a handful of parts that go into a detroit. 2 side gears, 2 springs, 2 clutches and 1 spider gear. Unless some jackass grabs the wrong spring OR the spring is weak, how exactly can one be different from another?

Seth (oh, and by the way, if you've never been on the hammers, you have NO idea what they're like. They're unlike anything I've ever seen anywhere else in the country... and most of them are a mile or longer.)

Look out here comes the " it's all about the 50,000 mile trip around Alaska and back" vs " 2 miles of insana terrain" Both are impressive. I guess we'll get to see this arguement play out again, and again, and again. I love this. Only b/c I know Seth and he can back up what he is talking about. I've seen alot of his pic's. They speak for themselves. Consider this,,, He drove that Jeep 5+ hours to trail head( obsticle course or not ) wheeled it, then drove it home. Speaks for itself.

Help me out here, would it not be more useful to have locker experience in these settings as opposed to trail riding? How does the length of a trail play into this?

And how can the Rubicon be GAY? I thought you needed genitals to have a sexual preference. Can a trail be heterosexual? Hmmm... So a locker is like a cock ring, is that the concept? I learn so much here late at night.

Seth, shouldn't you be fixing something?

Hmmm , short of typing in caps I dont know how to explain it any better to ya hard core... Read the above , you mighta been busy going through files when I posted it....
You either choose to listen or not. I make the statement that I am making from having installed plenty of Detroits in Rovers and non rovers and having some make noise and most not. If its noisey I take it out and return it. I have never had two in a row... As I said before , if thats not good enough for ya , then I dont know what else to tell you. I am aware of whats in there and I am aware of what one sounds like when functioning properly as opposed to one thats not... What you are saying about them may be true of heeps but its not the case in a rover....

Again with the 9" . I think I have some pics with the whole pinion support wrung off around somewhere.. However , that doesnt make me hard core and its certainly not a Rover.....

And no , he cant back up a damn thing as he admitedly has no experience with a locked Rover.....

Ultimately, my new friend, we have seen a portion of my off road resume, which you requested. I think I've sufficiently proven that I have been around the block once or twice and speak not from a position of web wheeler.

Meanwhile, I must be slow, because I still can't understand how a Rover detroit is different...

You fucking Moron , read the title to this thread. Read the guys post ? Does it say anywhere in there that the guy is having problems with his detroit at the "Cal Rocks" ???? Jesus I am going to start giving out awards tonight....

Thats obvious in your posts Seth.... By tomorrow others will chime in telling you thier locker is silent and then you can decide from there. If you are calling me the web wheeler you are accurate about the present.. However its because I have already been to every state in the US and ran anything I wanted to run and it was in a locked Rover.... Oh and alot of the others were locked rovers that were silent as well....

Meanwhile, I'm the only one on this whole post who actually knows and has listed the parts in a detroit. I'm still waiting for you to explain which of those parts can be cause of on road handling characteristics.

If you call tractech, the FIRST thing they tell you is to check your tire pressure.

see here it comes, gotta spend 2weeks straight it the truck to be a real wheeler

I got this same lecture about 4-5 months ago and I still think it is bs. Anyone who gets out and gets there wheels dirty and gets back deserves the same respect b/c we are all in different places. time constraints, geographical location, work, it all limits what and where we wheel. I would love to live out west and have those opportunitions to wheel that are there. But I'm not there! Nor can I up and leave my business for the time a journey like that would involve( yet! )

But I can push the limits of what I have , equipment and time, and that makes me no less a wheeler than anyone else. I respect the guy in his Freelander trying to push his limits just as much as the tube buggy guy on the cover of the Mag. It is different in scope but the same in goal. We are all looking for that Rush we felt the first time we ventured off the pavement. Only now the obstalces need to be bigger, harder, or (for Kyle) looonngggeeerrrr, to achieve the goal.

nice, "moron." I like that, that stopped me in my tracks. I was looking for a nom de plume. I did not state that was the answer to any question, I made what seemed (intermittently) like an observation. IF we were discussing the installation of said product and the field use thereof, would it not be MORE relevant to have the aformentioned knowledge come from such use, and not just a long trail? Hence my query, my perjorative hurling amigo.
:D
What do I know, I am a fucking moron. Or am I fucking a moron? I get confused from all the gear oil fumes. Maybe I am a moron who is fucked. That must be it.

I'm gonna go kiss my beautiful wife, pet my dog, and move on to things in my life that are infinitely more important than this conversation.
