'01 D2 109k, had a no start due to a loose cable on the starter.
After diagnosing that problem, I stuck my wrench down there to tighten the nut without thinking, I didnt disconnect the battery. The wrench sparked on the frame rail, I realized what I did so I disconnected the battery, tightened nut and the rover started.
I now have some electrical issues. I'm assuming they are related to what I did. The only other thing I did was install heated seat buttons at the same time.
I no longer have power to my front/rear wipers, front fogs, heated seats, radio (buttons light up though), compass or garage door opener.
I checked every fuse and relay, pulled the engine compartment fuse box, but everything looks fine, I swapped a bunch of fuses and relays as well. I had an extra fog light switch, I swapped it and nothing has changed.
I'm assuming I damaged the body control module by not dc the battery.
Anyone have experience with this? Could it be something else?
Thanks
