I can tell you from experience, that they are dealing on 04's right now like crazy...I got a loaded 04 SE7 as a loaner while my 99 was in the shop...it only had 1K on it and I bought it for 31K. They didn't kill me on the trade either...the 4.6 is a vast improvement over my 99...

My 99 was a D2, but I did not have them swap any parts...I think that would be hard to work out due to the labor cost and the fact that some of the parts are not interchangable...I didn't have too many mods on my 99 so it was not a real issue.

Well , noting has really been established about the 04 yet. While I am in agreement it seems the Disco line will be ended on a decent note. We really dont know until they start breaking. They did add the CDL which was a no brainer but its still action packed with enough electronic shit to wire up a small island.. Yeah , that looks "Cool" to people that cant see behind it , and YEAH , it nice when its new and shiny... Lets just see how it performs when its old and dingy..... Then we say its the shit.....

i got a sweet deal too

i was on autotrader.com late one night and spotted my fully loaded (less dvd player) silver hse7 with the tan interior and only 3300miles for only $30,885. the next day the price was listed at $34,885 but they honored the erroneous price. i got it from land rover marin where it was a service loaner. power is just right for this type of vehicle. nobody here cares about this part, but the raised metal badging all around like on the new range rover is a nice touch.

get the 4.6 vs 4.0

draaronr, you stated "definity get the 04 4.6 you will have no regrets, bigger motor", vs the 4.0 motor. Why go for more horsepower and torque? You should put in a four cylinder diesel motor, and draaronr your an idiot. ....................o&o>................................

will it keep running

Kyle , nice to the point overview, what it will be like in a few years. I had Western General with 7/100K extended coverage, they called me the night the warranty ended. I got the 95 D1 in late 99, it cost the last owner $4,562 out of pocket, the warranty company paid out $17,372 for dealer repairs, total of $21,934. Not bad for only 7 years or $3,133 per year. The bills began from new not after a few years. Do you think Porsche or any other company would produce such a low quality product and stay in business? Had to agree on your comments.
