What's up everyone?

Hopefully my front bumper will sell soon.

I plan on ordering an RTE, but can't decide which brush bar to go with.

Can't make up my mind with the photos on their site or here in the photo gallery....

I would appreciate any of you DII guys running RTE in all variations posting pics of your front bumper. Leaning more toward the A-bar or low A-bar, but not sure.....:banghead:

Thanks in advance.

It depends entirely on what you plan to do with your truck. I'll run mine through brush and trees without a moments thought. Of course, you may be kinder to an '03 than I am to a '95. Mine isn't a daily driver. The more brush bar area, the more protection for the fenders and hood from "stuff." Even light brush can scratch the hood, and, in your case, plastic headlamps . Overhanging brush and limbs are easier with limb risers, you may want somewhere to attach those.

New style brush bar. Obligatory flex shot on log.

Thanks for the reply.

Right now my truck is my DD. The reason that I am not sure about the full bar is that I have the G4 style lamp guards. Just like that look really since it is different that my bumper now. My current guard sits too close for me to have them on...

Good points about more protection and limb risers.

Thanks for the photos so far. Looks good...Keep 'em coming!

Never mind. This is not my truck. I have a new RTE with new style full bullbar.

It may be a D1, but this is the best damn bumper setup in the Disco section.

Weld the top section of the factory brush bar to the RTE. Awesome!
Thats nice looking.
I wish I was able to save my Grill guard and weld it to an after market steel bumper like that.:banghead:

I will have my RTE some time in January, after Christmas is over. I can't wait.

This has to be one of the most bulletproof bumpers made.

They're plastic. More of a decoration than a functional device. I wouldn't base my bumper choice on them. Sell 'em on EBay and put it toward something that will save your lights.

You are right....but there are holes in my fenders from mounting them so I want them back on to cover them.

traveltoad, those are the photos and truck I saw on the EE site that made me finally decided to remove the fender flares.

I like the Baja look of the A-bar, but I have to say that the full brush guard is more versatile. I'm going to write a short post later about the Fourtreks hi-lift brackets I just got. Sweet. :D

Never underestimate the power of flat black self-adhesive vinyl. Same crap hood blackouts are made from. Even Porsche uses it on stone-chip prone areas. See the area in front of the rear wheel? Vinyl. On a $100K car.

I would love to take credit... but I am only a trend follower in the flare removal department.
