DII won't crank-need help

Wife drives to store and comes out and will not crank. I check starter and replace with new. Still no crank. Battery is good. No codes. Checked inertia switch. Any ideas? Everything that has turned up points to crank position sensor, but in every example the guilty truck would crank, just not start. Mine will not even crank.

Thanks in advance.

Do the interior lights/gauges work? If not, it may be a grounding issue..

Also, double check the battery with another one, sometimes they still test ok with a volt meter, but don't start the truck.

All lights work. Horn honks. Radio plays. Battery is an Optima Red top that was tested and is good. Would a crank position sensor prevent one from cranking?

Yes, turn the key and nothing happens. Lights, buzzers, etc. dim when key is turned.

starter relay or fuse...

Every fuse that I have checked thus far is OK. Is the starter relay in the fuse box next to the battery?

does the check engine light come on and stay on with the key in position #2?

do you have power to the starter?

There is power to the starter (10.39); all relays and fuses appear to be OK. I read in some past posts re: the SM relay might be the culprit, but I switched it with another and still nothing. Upon turning the key on, the service engine light comes on and stays on.

Where is the alarm ground?

so you may have a battery problem I'd your getting less than 12 volts
To the starter. You should
Be getting at least 12 if not 13 volts
At the starter

what should I be getting, per voltmeter, at the battery? I just got through reading too many optima red top horror stories, which is what I have...

13.5 to 14.2 with the truck running...12.6 to 13.6ish when sitting anything below 11.8 or 11.9 volts and these things get weird
