I have a 96 Discovery 1 SE7, and as I removed the front and rear brake pads i noticed , two of the pads has a wire/sensor coming out of it. I figured i would find something like that once i took a look at the brake system, but the old pads that are in there right now have that wire. I dont see anything except for the ABS sensor - but no plug for any pad wear. Could the prior owner have put on the wrong pads in? I see Atlantic British has the replacement pads for my disco and in the picture they also show a plug on the pads??
I am going bananas trying to find the plug for that wear sensor on pad - I got this truck and many of the engine and front axle stuff was tampered with and installed wrong - such as hub seals installed backwards, and other repairs made I had to rip out and redo.
I also noticed that my RAVE doesn't mention anything about this wire/sensor either. Does this have to do with possible different versions of the ABS?. Anyone want to elaborate... please.
