After I got into Land Rovers I realized my Holy Grail of a truck was the 1999 white SD. This probably had a lot to do with the crew I'm generally out with, on one occasion there were 3 99 white SD's and my 96.

To me it's the best of the last...

So most of you know Marc Olivares has incredible fabrication skills and impeccable taste when it comes to modifying a Land Rover. What you probably don't know is he helped build a 99 for his father. A 99 his father bought with 50k miles and sold to me with 72k miles.

RTE Front bumper
RTE Rear bumper
RTE Rear Links
RTE Castor Corrected Radius Arms
Fox Racing Shocks
OME Springs (not sure what they are, tags are gone)
Olivares Sliders
Olivares Rear door table
Olivares Steering components
Olivares Diff Guards
Great Basin HD Rear Axle
Great Basin Drive Shaft
4.11 Gears
Tru Trac Front Locker
Detroit Rear locker
SS brake lines

Going take some goodies off of my truck like the Tom Woods drive shafts, rack and winch, but that's about it.

:D

Why's that?

simplicity. looks. serviceability. upgradeability. (i think i just made those two words up :p ) etc. all the reasons anyone would choose a DI over a DII.

DI's just look really clean. very classic looks.

of course, i'd choose a white 2-door SIII 109" over either of them, too.

That water must have made it way here because hopefully next year I will have a white d1 also. If anybody has a white d1 with an autobox and wants to sell it in a year let me know.

I might be interested in your 5 speed in a year.
