new gas lines, new ecu?, new fuel filler neck, new springs to deal with the weight, joel or Jason - pipe in, I know you guys know.

ECU? What is an ECU?:D

I would bet PT has just about everything a guy would need. My fuel filler neck is the original unleaded one, just a bit modified.

Springs? Yes, probably. I put OME 766 in the front to deal with the weight of the 300Tdi, HLC winch bumper, and winch. It sits very nicely at about 2.75" lift

Matt, there will always be little things that will nickel and dime you to death on any conversion. Just the nature of the beast. $2447 seems pretty good. If you can get more than one guy to go in on a package deal, you can cut the prices even lower.

what about one for a D90? Been looking at one (has a 2.5 NA) and want something with some more HP. Not saying I really want one but it would be nice to know down the road.

Okay.... what does shipping & packing usually run to get it to the US?

And, as was asked earlier, what's the age/use/condition of these engine/gearbox combinations?

They're damn near bolt-in, but you'll want the correct bellhousing.

I've got more parts coming in tomorrow and again Friday.

Need to take some time and weld up some more frame mounts, I'm out and they fly out when I get them done.

First off, I have no relationship with the seller.

As far as worrying about the condition, these engines will run damned near forever, but you'll want them to have had the timing belt upgrade done. Other than that, they shouldn't need any real work, other than typical maintenance. Water pumps, some goofy gaskets here and there, but that's about it.

I've also got a pile of fan clutches for the 300 as well.

we've had bad luck with the vacuum pumps lately. The shafts were galling because the clearances were too tight. we found out we could take them apart and have the bore machined slightly larger. never have problems afterwards.

Also in my experience, most 300tdi's coming from england tend to have pretty fouled injectors, bad glow plugs, and poorly tuned injector pumps. You'd be wise to include those costs in your budget. Not to mention all the random hoses and pulleys that will either not be included or will arrive in poor shape. Also its recommended to use the proper crossmember, but i dont really think its essential to do so.

Agreed. If you really want one of these engines and you want it to live up to its reputation you need to do some work to it. Just unwrapping it and dropping it in isnt good enough. Plan on at least a timing belt, water pump, new oil seals and basic gaskets, new lift pump, fuel lines, acc. belt(s) etc. It would be smart to have the turbo rebuilt as well for peace of mind. ALL the hoses will need to be replaced, and you will need the fuel filter housing, new filter, glow plug relay (nice to have the harness and mounting bracket too) and correct radiator/intercooler setup with fan shroud. Dont forget, those have hoses of their own that you will need. It is NOT a plug and play install.
