Fuck Cancun...

You say that, but your fellow Nittany Lion really dug the orphanages near there.

2018 Ford Expedition FX4. Not a fan of the grill, but at least some marques are still making real SUVs.

I see 7 ugly trucks and the last of the heritage Land Rovers.

The 4runner has grown on me, and the Benz isn't terrible for a minivan.

Otherwise, yes.

I too am a fan of the 4Runner. If nothing else it would appear at least Toyota gets it and gets the market. If I have to hear one more LR commercial about the "Urban Jungle" I'm going to lose my shit.

The new Expeditions with the 3.5 Ecoboost are great driving trucks. I don't think they'd be all that great off road, but if you're shopping for a large three-row SUV that actually has some space behind the third row, your only other choice in that size category is the Suburban, and the Expedition feels like a nicer vehicle.

The 4runner says "TuRD" right on it. The Land Cruiser & Sequoias look like fattened pigs looking for a mudpit to cool off in.

I like the LR3 and LR4 looks. I prefer boxy vehicles. I liked that they at least looked Land Rover. I almost bought one for my wife but we went with a GX470 instead because I tend to live in shittier areas that have toyota support but not Rover support. I probably would have bought one for myself to replace the odyssey beater I drive, but my brother offered me his Grand Cherokee when he left the country for five years.

I even like the Evoque for what it is. What I don't like is every Land Rover looking like a curved variance of it in small medium large and "average" trim and "excessive" trim. No matter how nice they are and how reliable they may be to me it comes down to looks. Everything in the line up looks bad to me. I'm holding out hope for the Defender replacement but not anticipating any hope.

Do you guys really think the LR3/4 looks good?

By comparison to the new "Discovery", yes, absolutely. They were unique, distinct within their class, and weren't simply a version of an average American SUV with an LR badge. Admittedly, they've grown on my over the years from my initial reaction to the loss of solid axles and alpine windows. But there's no comparison between these vehicles and the Mark V. Just MHO, of course.
