No. They are saying that some flex couplings sold over the counter were manufactured wrong, 180 to be exact. It is those parts that are affected. But the fact that most of those were probably sold on generic cash sale tickets, it will be hard to track them.

So if they cannot track which vehicles have one of 180 the defectived parts, are they just going to replace the coupler on any LR that a customer brings in? Sounds like a good opportunity to have everyone's flex coupler replaced for free. ;-)

Doubtful. There are factory markings to identify which ones fall in the faulty range.

Understand these are parts that were manufactured recently, not when the trucks were built.

Any one know what the marking are.. Had mine replaced back in early Jan of this year..

The good ones are marked "MADE IN GERMANY" among other things. I think the faulty ones have no markings at all.
