First off...thanks Discoweb members.

The Santa Ana Police called me this morning, and they recovered my rig, only several blocks from the oiginal location. I had scouted the area extensively looking for it - so it must have been returned sometime recently. I had also given flyers to the local police - as a pic was worth more than a thousand words.

THANKS TO ALL on Discoweb for keeping an eye out for it.

They only removed the stereo - (with a hammer), along with speakers, amps, ipod, power inverter and bazooka tube.

It needs a new dashboard, and sound system. Not too bad considering the other mods are worth 10 times the stereo price.

Anyone have a spare center dash cluster console? ;-)

I have a friend with a parted(ing) '98 Disco. The interior dash itself and all is good. I think the panel that pops out is maybe not there though? Anyway the dash itself is fine, tan color.

Take some pics of the damage to show what parts you actually need.

Let me know and i'll see what it would take to get it out and ship it to you. I know he'd let me have it - so throw me a few bucks for my time and cover shipping and it's yours.

Thanks for the PM, I will snap a shot, but picture the top half of the center console....er...well....gone.

They did the surgery with a hammer, as I found the shaft and head in the car, snapped in two. They were trying to get a bolted down amp up from under the drivers seat - with a buck fifty hammer. That amp had previously been submerged - but still worked.
