If your alternator is spun backwards, all of the electrons will be sucked out of the battery and dumped on the ground. You can see this by sparks flying from the diff covers and can cause you to call your truck a rig.
It may also cause you to talk to jeep guys who say all Rover owners are assholes. While that may be true it's generally considered not nice to say.

I found that to be the case with my trapped d2. The serp belt was routed incorrect as well as the tension was incorrect. The battery is currently at 12.19v which I attribute to the routing and tension of the old belt. I am now trying to reinstall the crank position sensor. Considering dropping the exhaust to access this easier (tips\links to make it easier would be uber cool). The Fuel filter was nasty and felt quite heavier than the new one. Fuel pump kicks on. If this fix was as easy as a ckps and a rerouting of the belt, I will be a happy man.
I still will have codes to address, but at this moment I am just trying to get the truck to run.

Thanks for the help, I totally appreciate it

#goodlookingout riceybean, I needed that manual download. Kind of humbled as to not have discovered that information before, thanks. Been using old books for a d1.

Oh no.... The hash tags are chasing me. Got rid of FB and IG and now they're making their way to dweb.

We're all doomed.

Ckp sensor is now in. That was an awesome experience. I have an obd2 scanner handy... Do I need to reset adaptions after I replace the earth lead to the battery? Do I do this after I attempt to start the truck or before I start it....
...clueless...

Eureka!!! The truck started right up. I took it for a cruise, crawled through my river around the bridge and I am stoked! A HUGE thanks to those on dweb, I totally appreciated the help.
I have a pending code of 1884 and I am going to address that this weekend.
No other codes have been thrown since driving it today.
Tonight I am cleaning the MAF and replacing the o2 sensors. I already own them so I might as well.

Is there any other maintenance I can perform myself before driving it to my guys at Green Oval? After the belt and ckps, I feel strong about performing my own rudimentary maintenance on the disco.
Cheers and thanks again!
