Does anyone have the part number(s) for the 2002 Disco2 hazard and blinker relay(s)? And which relay in the fuse box they are, I assume it in the engine mounted fuse box?

All I have is the LR owners manual and all it has on the subject is "Owners are advised against removing or replacing the relays". Awesome, thanks for the help LR! And to prevent the obvious answer, no I don't have access to the truck right now.

Thanks in advance,

James

Possibly answering my own question. I don't think the Disco2 uses a relay to control the hazards/blinkers. It looks like the hazards, blinkers, and "burned out" bulb flashing are all controlled by the BCU (body control unit). Can anyone confirm this?

If it is indeed the BCU that controls the hazards/blinker; is it possible to disable the rapid flashing that occurs when a bulb is burned out (or LEDs are used)?

yep, page 86-3-12 in the D2 rave manual (workshop).

Bulb failure warning:
Disabled Direction indicator bulb failure detection is disabled.
Enabled Direction indicator bulb failure detection is enabled.

Finished a Greg Davis rear Bumper install and put some LED lights for blinkers in it. I'll post up some pics when I can get them off my camera. I'm still having an issue with the blinkers flashing too fast. My shop has the Autologic system and was unable to find anything in the BCU, etc that would disable the "burned out bulb detection". My question is: has anyone actually gotten the feature turned off? Did it require a dealer or what? I even took the pages from the shop manual down to the shop and still can't find anything. Thanks,

James
