Hey I was thinking and mabee I'm way off. I read thru this thread again cause I thought something new was happening. Chris you are looking for a way to protect yourself from any liability and this is totally justified by the fact that for your efforts you make nothing. If we called ourselves a virtual club as google already describes us, and we took on a not for profit type club status would that not take away all the tax burden, and your only problem would be NOT having any cash transfer from one year to the next?

He was running a commercial enterprise and likely trying to drum up business here. As a business if you make a meaningful contribution to the site, either in terms of $ or answering tech questions that's one thing, but taking advantage of the forum as free advertising is not in the interest of this community, whatever we are. Hell, I'm not even a business and I still make donations to the site when I sell parts to other D-webbers.

I upgraded the server for NAS-ROW and DiscoWeb tonight to new hardware. We have twice as much RAM and twice as many CPU cores now, plus more disk space. It should be faster than ever.
