Dish Network install.

I'm putting Dish Net in my garage. I have the reciver and coax and stuff. My problem is, my friend gave me a Dish and it doesnt have the part on the end that the coax connects to. I dont even know what its called, or if it can be gotten. Anyone know?

I don't know what they call it, but if you track down a Dish network guy or see one working near by they will give you one. When they did the install for our dish at the shop they were switching them out left and right. He said they go through a ton of them because they have different ones for different services, IE just dish, or dish plus web. Not much help, but hopefully someone will know the name of the part.

yup, rat shack, walmart, Fry's. If you fee real adventurous, you could try a thrift store.

Do you have a round or oval dish? Do you need multiple TVs hooked up or HD? The original LNBs had a single connection, later ones are dual. HD and some of the latest ones are triple LNBs. the triple is for the oval dish. much wider than the regular dish. If you don't need the triple, get at least the double.

Abandoned houses all over with dish's still attached. But of course, by the time you fill your tank, get an oil change, and pack a lunch to make it across the river you could just buy one.
