Door Seals

The replacement door seals I picked up have some adhesive on them in a couple of places, is that needed when I swap them out? Or is that just some assembly process to keep them installed?

What to use if it should be?

Not necessary. The should hold fine when you snap them in the grooves. I have seen some come in like that I assume it was an assembly thing.
