Hi all,

I'm looking for front and rear Truetracs and 3.90 gears for my Discovery 2. If anyone is selling or looking to upgrade to air lockers, I'd be happy to take your old stuff off your hands. I'd consider other combos of ratios and diffs depending on the price and kit. I'd also consider purchasing the completely assembled third members if people are selling those.

Thanks!

I would try Lucky 8, they can get you what you want. If you're looking for used I would expect to wait several years to find your specific setup, and maybe 1-2 years if you're willing to take any old package.

Yeah, I know it's not common for these to show up used but figured i'd try to shave a few $$ off the price. I'd happily run air lockers or truetracs. As for specific, there don't seem to be that many options for the 24 spline Rover axles, unless I'm missing something. Are there really other packages than Truetracs, Detroits, or ARBs for less that $1k per diff carrier?

I think what Marty was commenting on was your request for Dual TT's with 3.9 gears. Which is very specific and also very uncommon for most rover configurations.

As for sub 1,000 lockers if you're looking at gears also, you're looking at the Eaton TT/Detroit and the Ashcroft ATB. Most others like ARB, Ashcroft air locker, KAM and TJM will run you more than 1,000 once they are setup with gears.

Also don't forget to budget for HD axles and CV's. Which are also pretty rare to find used.

Anyway good luck.

To clarify, are the TT housings specific to a gear ratio? I was working under the assumption that I could just grab a set of TTs, grab a set of 3.90s, and be off to the races. If the diffs have to be matched to the gear ratio and 4.11s are more common, I'll run that instead.

Thanks for the info.
