It's funny, i actually just noticed the note on AB's site;

"*Note On Tips: Two polished tips are included in package: A horizontal, polished split tip and a down-bent polished single tip. Vehicle owner's with a rear hydraulic step on their vehicle NEED to use the down-bent tip or risk melting the polymer parts of their hydraulic step!"

LOL they got that up fast!

Never even thought about the step when I was putting it on. I was more worried about the exhaust melting the bottom of the bumper, that I never gave the step a second thought.

Guess I was the first to buy the set that had a rear step!

Don't know why they polish the single down turned tip (does look nice though), the only one who will see it is your mechanic (or you when you get under it!)

so what's the best way to fix a leak between the y-pipe & muffler? from what i read here, there is no gasket that goes there... just tighten it? or should I take it apart, clean the mating surfaces and tighten it down?

ryan, rust corrodes away where the system drips. the olive gets a break in the lips from rust/dripping, theres alot of pressure here on a 4.6...

have a welder drop a bead there then grind away. then refit, once you have it all apart you'll see

so far mine has liked that, put a 2nd set of nutz on the bolts which are plenty strong

You paid that ammount? You could have saved yourself over 200 bucks by going to a reputable muffler person!!
