Fan Clutch Question

On my 95 D1, is it ok to run the motor without the Fan/Fan Clutch for diagnostic purposes? There is a noise coming from the front end of my motor and I want to make sure it is the clutch before spending the money on a new one. I'm pretty sure it's not the water pump as a just replaced it a couple of years ago.

thanks...

not in stop 'n go traffic. ;)

Keep a close eye on the temp. guage. Overheating on these aluminum engines can be very, very bad news.

Not sure about 95's, but if your a/c runs auxilary fans, turn the a/c on. It will keep the radiator cool and protect from overheating temporarily.
