The Mezziere comes with a rubber gasket. Have not had to find a replacement yet.

I just asked for an 88 Corvette thermostat at Napa. They have several I bought the Napa $11 thermostat not the $5 one.

I have a 2004 Disco. I live in New Orleans. Summertime temps are 85-96F with humidity levels between 70-100%. My temp gauge has always read dead square in the middle. Why is everybody doing this mod? Is this a "leave well enough alone" situation? I have no fancy aftermarket gauges to tell me exactly what temps Im at, so with the factory needle in the middle, about what temp am I running and should I do this mod?

I wouldn't worry...in the oven known as tucson I've had zero issues running hot or overheating and I don't have the plastic cowling around it either. When I did the heads, the gaskets were in good shape. The gauge works...I think you guys are a little paranoid about these things overheating.
