you could also conceivable fix a tie rod or other mechanical piece if needed to get off the trail.

Anyway, Its not the type of thing that should really be used on your truck while comfortable parked in your garage, but if stuck on a remote trail, then it could be usefull

They tack-welded just to hold the cage, but then they cut those tacks as they Fiberfix wrapped the joints.

Bill, Gorilla Tape is cheaper and ... I might guess that its effects are reversible.
