Instead of continually trying to support your case here is an idea. Make a bumper exactly the way the majority of people are telling you how to build one. See which one of yours sells the most. It isn't like you are going to pre-produce 100 of these and wait for the sales to roll in.

Wasn't it Virginia that DCX had to make the covers for the Liberty roofrack lights?
I seem to recall that one state or another took exception to the lights and the manufacturer responded with plastic covers.
It was West Virginia - and, IIRC, the Libertys with the roof lights could not be sold there.

Anyway, if someone is still concerned about it, I'd have no problem lowering the side support bars or even substituting a standard style brush guard in place of the prerunner bar.

Anyway, like I said, if anyone's worried I'd have no problem working around it.
I don't know how else to put it, Steve.

I'm not fighting to make my case, I'm merely stating that the light issue shouldn't be a problem.
Even so, twice(three times now) I've offered to change it up for those who are worried about it.

I don't know what else you want.
If you're asking me to change the entire bumper design to another RTE clone then the answer is no.

Buy an RTE, an RTE clone(plenty to choose from), or get Rob to make you one of his.

Hasn't this thread run it's course by now?
Can we let it go?

FWIW I had to go down and cover my spot lamps with paper bags in order to pass inspection, so guess it's VA too.

here in VA any lights above the factory driving lights must be covered on the road. I have been pulled for that as well.

It isn't that bad. It's just a matter of what we like. Many would say that plate looks better on Land Rovers and that's what most buy. Most like Plate and Some like tube. Now talking about bumper that was crazy there was a 2003 or 2004 D2 being sold a while back with a pretzel like front bumper that shit was Fucked! I usually don't talk about peoples stuff cause I'm not down with that ,however that thing was just crazy!
