flexible clutch pipe

Has anyone installed a flexible clutch pipe from the master cylinder to the slave? I am installing a PTO winch and the rigid pipe is fouling with the drive shaft from it. Before I go start bending a pipe in situ I am hoping there is a flex pipe alternative.
Thanks

I bought all the stuff, just been meaning to get around to it...

Aeroquip. Thats the stuff I bought. Build your own. Not to mention the stupid stock hose goes from the drivers side, to the passenger side, THEN BACK to the drivers side...stupid...

Its all standard brit crap. Easy to get ahold of. Aeroquip is *a little* pricey but that'll be the last time you'll need to fiddle with it.

Huh? None of my SIII's have even been plumbed like that.

I gotta agree with Max here (in part)....

My (non-MOD) US-spec LHD '72 SIII 88" clutch system had a hard line run across the bulkhead with the brake lines, down past the heater's output lines into a flex pipe, down into another metal line that arcs up over the transmission, then back down to the slave.

Instead of following that route on the rebuild, I turned the hard line down right next to the carb linkage, into a flex hose that runs right into the slave, shortening the distance considerably.

FWIW....

The LHD SIII and SII slave locations are different:
- SII sits on the RH side of the trans
- SIII sits on the LH side of the trans

Leslie's description sounds like the SII piping up to the flex-hose (which would then connect to the SII slave). Seeing how Solihull production often mixed and matched, this may have offered compatability with both the SII crashbox (RH slave) and the SIII full-syncro box (LH slave).

We need to see what Sandy's is like... his is also a 259 but even a touch earlier than mine. Could be part of the transition out of late IIa's into III's.....
