For Defender money, I'd rather have this!

Interesting vehicle, what is with the shovel in the engine bay?

The Worm formerly known as Dan didn't think it looked elegant anywhere else, so he called in to complain. They complied with his request to stop his whining and crying.

Cheers,

Looks like a playschool piece of shit. Who the fuck puts obnoxious orange paint, bro wheels, fat mudder tires, and rice boy hoses on a fine German auto.

I don't care for the color, but I like the effort and workmanship. I don't think I'd call diesel Gelandewagen a Defender wanna-be, however. I think it stands pretty well on its own.

My reference to the Defender was solely on the amount of money these things are going for. A 1985 for over 40k? That's insane. A 1997 Defender for over 40k? Also insane.

Opps, sorry, 65k: http://www.cargurus.com/Cars/l-Used-Land-Rover-Defender-d151#listing=113280281 (love the photoshop)

Where are you finding G550s for 20 grand? Sign me the fuck up.
Work on your c-list skills.
A G550 for 20 grand will have bent 24" rims and 180kmi on the clock, half of it on the same oil change, and you better run it past a drug-sniffing dog.
Things improve considerably past 30. You're still be looking at a 12-year-old truck with a lot of miles, but relatively unmolested.

Those are sexy. I like it when places get hold of that stuff and really bring it back to life.

Cheers,

The white/tan one is my favorite, and a cheaper one. I also noticed they used the Ford Racing 302 in some. Those 302's are rock solid engines for sure. Pack a punch to.
