Friendly reminder

Just a friendly reminder now that we're seeing colder weather, be careful about clearing your windshield of snow or ice with the wipers. I stripped the inside of the drivers wiper arm the other day (the huge pile on the roof slid forward and onto the windshield), but was able to salvage it (for how long, we'll see) by cleaning what was left of the splines and using some green loctite when putting the arm back on. I know it's been discussed here before, but there's always someone new that hasn't read it all.
And Happy New Year.

And pleeeeese, clean all the snow off your car/truck before embarking on a trip on a public road. It just urks me to see people with 2ft of snow on the car, or only an area on the front windshield cleared off, driving down the road. The snow either flies off all over the place or slides down their own windshield. Sorry, rant over.

Don't leave out the really smart folks that clear a 12" hole in just the windshield in front of them and feel compelled to drive around.

Don't fuck it up with all this stupid ass bullshit in the tech section... Thats the stupid fucks I hate.

C'mawn, let's not end up like Pirate where every six months, somebody gets butthurt and the mods go on a rampage.

This seems silly, but having your wiper arms strip out can pretty much leave you stranded without a means to keep the windscreen clean.

In fact, I just parked my '88 and thought to myself about this thread and turned the key off with the wipers in mid-travel.
