Yeah great, was changing out a leaky oil pressure switch and half the damn flange busted off. So looks like new front cover time. Can it be swapped with the motor still in? or does the egine need pulled to access all the bolts?

Also where is the best place to find one for a 95 year DI. With distributor hole?

Man my day is just not getting any better.. :banghead:

Ya was eyeballing it and it looks like I might have enought room to wiggle the pan out.. Just looked it up on AB's site.. OMG $560 ish.. is it made of gold! Just hit Will with a e-mail. Fingers crossed he's got one..

The RR and Defender of that year are the same front right?

Yes, it can be swapped with the engine in place. Getting the oil pan off is a PITA but it can be done.

Good luck with that front cover, they are getting harder and harder to find. A while back, Dominic was experimenting with cutting the hole in GEMS front covers.

Can a cover from an older v-belt engine be made to work?

I have several used ones for $175

You don't need to remove the oil pan if you get all the antifreeze out first even then it is easier to get the water out than take the oil pan off

IM sent!! my day might be getting better. :D
