FS '99 D2 in Maine(More photos added)

Thought I'd post this here first...
-99 D2, 108k miles, great shape, all dealer service records since new(folder is about an inch thick). Totally stock, never abused. Has ACE and cold weather package. Heated windshield works great, as do both seat heaters.

I bought this about six months ago from the original owner, who took excellent care of it. It was always garaged when he owned it, and occasionally during my ownership.

No leaks at all (Really!), everything works except for the front sunroof, which he sealed shut with silicone because it leaked on his wife's lap and he didn't like opening them. The back one still works fine. The AC doesn't blow cold, but the heat/climate control works great. Everything else works fine. Comes with the factory trailer wiring harness.

Transmission shifts smoothly and the fluid looks great. The motor is quiet, although there is a little tick at idle. Always starts right away. The transfer case shifts smoothly as well. Frame is solid as a rock, although there is a bit of surface rust starting in the back.

No warning lights/amigos. Paint is in great shape, as is the interior. When I bought it I put four brand new snow tires on. They are still in great shape. Also comes with four okay wranglers. Probably about 40% left.

It's been a great truck and I hate to see it go, but I just prefer older cars. (I have a '71 MGB and a '65 Volvo 122) I was originally looking for a Rover Classic, but this popped up and was too nice to pass up. I've only put about 3000 miles on it. Has a Maine inspection good until November. I have a clear Maine title in my name.

Please feel free to pm me with any questions or my phone number. I have more photos available as well.

Located in Portland, ME. Asking $5700

That's funny right there, I don't care who you are...

Well actually my name is Jud. Rusty77 is a sort of reference to my old FJ40, which I miss dearly, and was of course a bit on the rusty side. That being said, my disco isn't rusty. Like I mentioned, there is some surface rust starting on the back end of the frame. I would seal it myself with por or something of the sort, but I don't want to look like I'm hiding something. I love the disco, and I was lucky to find one that hasn't been abused, but I'm just ready to move on to the next thing.

Thanks for looking. Cheers.

HAHA... that's great. I would buy the Axe from a Mainer named Jed.

Thanks! I listed it on craigslist a little while ago. I've received quite a bit of interest and a few bizarre trade offers (If anyone wants to trade their Disco for a "mint" non-running school bus let me know and I'll send you the info :) ), but no takers yet. I'm changing the oil (Castrol synthetic and K&N oil filter) and lubing the driveshaft/u-joints tomorrow.

Bump! Last call before I take it out for a photo shoot and put it on ebay. I'm putting new greasable u-joints in the double cardon this weekend as I'm starting to hear some croaking from that area. Make me an offer I can't refuse as I don't want to deal with ebay if I don't have to. I also want this Disco to go to a good home!
