Anyone ever rebuild their pump? I got a new one for my Disco & thought about rebuilding mine to keep around since I know it will fail again. There are rebuild kits on ebay but couldn't find any on AB or Rovers North so I wasn't sure of quality.

$75 replacement at Autozone.

Get the pump for the 96 Chevy Impala SS.

Plugs right up, get some high pressure hose while you are there with new hose clamps and its about a 15 minute job once you've got it out.

Replace and its plug and play. I don't know about rebuilding of the internals inside the pump itself but, its worth saving the time I think.

you might worry about quality but, mine has held up for the last 4 years or so.

For $75 a pop I could buy 4 and still have change in my pocket compared to LR pricing. And that's with my dealership "discount."

Mine doesn't look that bad either, but being a Texas car it doesn't see the salt and crap the Northern ones do. I just prefer not making the parts department morons rich with their mark up.
