My mileage has dropped steadily for my LR3 and is now on the edge of 12/13 MPG. i run factory tires fully inflated, anyone have some tricks to improve mileage on this rig?

With the winch, sliders, underbody armor, roof rack it will be lower... Mine dropped to 14 when I put the roof rack and sliders on it... change air filter and use good gas. It will help. Nice set up, BTW.

Driving style can have a lot to do with it. My wife is a far more aggressive driver than I am and it showed through reduced mpg. I agree that you have a nice setup and your mpg comes with the territory. To be honest 12/13 doesn't sound all that bad.

There also seems to be some mpg savings if you put the truck in grass/gravel/snow setting. My wife seems to be able to get around 15mpg or better when taking it easy.

Drive in manual mode and easy on the throttle. Also depends where (and how) you are driving. I'm in AZ so I see higher fuel economy with alot of hwy and flat driving. I see 11-12 towing, 16-19 otherwise. Off-road mine isn't too much to complain about either.

Plugs Dont Need To Be Done Till 105k.....id Say Make Sure You Use 93 Octane And The Extra Weight Doesnt Help......although Air Filters Every 30k For Sure Or More If You Go Offroad Alot.....for Some Reason A Slightly Dirty Air Filter Will Hamper Performance Quite A Bit

There is the answer.

I just had the 45k service done, and I've been very bad about checking anything at all since I bought it new seeing as the services are included and they have been done on or before due dates. However, my mpg went from 14 avg on trips to 17!!!!!!! 16 mpg easy, 17+ when "trying" by staying under 70mph and easy on the rolling hills.

So, clean or replace the air filter more often.

He did not specify mileage, or even equipment, how can you presume what's on it besides the profile photo?

Nevertheless, based on that photo, his rack is very light weight and has an aero leading edge. There is almost no weight on the front by using the light weight factory A- frame for the winch.

I probably have one of the heaviest lr3's around weighing in at 8000 lbs due to the heaviest sliders known to man (not necessarily a good thing), steel rear bumper with jerry can and tire plus bike hitch mount, 2nd on board air tank and compressor, biggest possible Odessey battery 2150, two heavy but sweet Hannibal awnings, sometimes the roof tent and pelican case full of the awning walls and tent annex and air jack, arb freezer always full of heavy liquid stuff on trips, and the same recovery stuff most of you carry off road including a 60" lift, chains, wheel chocks, fiberglass 48" waffle boards, bike tools and usually 2-3 bikes, photo gear.

I hope to add more weight soon by way of a long range fuel tank in the stock spare wheel location but maybe that's too much.

Anyway, all that and with the rack clear on top (no tent, pelican) I'm able to get 16-17 now and I'm so excited about that!
