My 95 D1 is falling apart faster than my work schedule permits me to put it back together! Can anyone recommend a Rover mechanic in the North Hollywood, CA area?

Thanx

I know a guy in Long Beach with a shop who seems pretty on the ball. His name is Steve 714-899-6000 or 562-572-2007 Tell him I sent you.

Long Beach is either 35 min or 3 hr away. I was hoping for something a little closer, if any one has any ideas. Otherwise I'll call Steve. Thanks Drillbit.

I use Huntington Service Center in San Marino @ Huntington Drive & Granada. (626) 570 9901. ( I sometime use the train to get back to LA. You could transfer to the Valley train downtown if it is convenient for you.) If their shop helper is working he can usually take you to the train station.

They aren't cheap but I have used them for years with no complaints.

Good luck!!

Good mechanics are seldom cheap and cheap mechanics are seldom good. I don't mind paying for work. Thanks Hugh.

Not sure of the name, but there is a indy LR shop right by LAX. It's right behind the National car rental pick up. I remember seeing it in april. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

**** i spent some time on google satellite maps, and the place is:

ARRRGH! Replaced the ignition switch and now the radio doesn't recognize the CD player. What did I tell you about cheap mechanics.

BCS did some work on my '95 LWB before I bought it (and before it got wrecked). I called them before bidding on it and the woman (Brit accent) was very helpful. Spent the time to look up the records, told me what they did and what needed to be done.

This was even though she knew I was located in Sacramento, and would most likely not be able to use them.

British Car Services is a good Indy shop. If you are not looking for some one to look at it on the side give me a call. I emailed you my phone number a few minutes ago. I work at the dealer in Redondo beach but live in North Hollywood
