love that Beretta. thoughts on the Sprigfield XD?

Love my XD. Have had it for years; .40 cal. I do find the handgrip angle better suited (for my preference) as opposed to Glock or some others. I say, go rent/borrow one if you can and shoot it. See how you like it. Newer ones are XDMs.

does your grandma know you have her gun? are you chasing a Moose and squirrel?

If you're referring to me, I don't use the full-sized Ruger in the picture.

It's a nightmare to put back together after cleaning. I just think it's a beautiful piece of engineering. How that guy had the patience to make the miniature is a mystery to me. It's not a toy, and it's identical in every way, inside and out, to the full-sized unit. With scaled down ammunition, it will fire and cycle.

Hell, I wouldn't be able to put it together; let alone make the parts.

Cheers,

Kennith

A family member actually had a smaller one. They ain't cheap.

I rather like this. It's the last miniature engine I've personally got. Had a couple of V8s and Harley engines; but no reason to photograph one. This was still sitting in the other room. It does indeed run properly.

I kind of want to have someone make a miniature Rover V8, Buick straight eight, or Nailhead.

That?s really cool. I had a 4 stroke saito 40 that pulled an 80 inch wingspan cub through the air. Ran cool power through it.

Kenneth, you choose the oddest things to include for scale.
Windows for Workgroups? Really?
And HOW is that book still in pristine condition?

It's more fun to use unconventional things for scale.

That one isn't a book, though; that's a genuine sealed copy of the software. The book is inside the box. :D

Well, I haven't seen it... Even so, it's a good bet, unless Microsoft put half a brick in the box.

Did you assemble this pair in the dark, and mix up the slides?

Actually no, I'd wanted the Vickers G19 slide so I took the now spare factory G19 slide and threw it on an 80% frame just to see how those would work. I don't mind the coloring-but I also don't treat guns as more than tools.

Function doesn't have to be ugly. Or plastic.

Don't think that really matters to the guy staring down the barrell of a weapon. Oh, he says, I love how you bedazzaled your front sight and those pearl handgrips are to die for...

Plastic works over and over. Of course metal works as well, like my Springfield TRP, but as I have said before, guns are tools IMO. All about function. Love my G19 w an extended slide lock and mag release, but I suppose everyone has different tastes.

Not the prettiest, but it still works...
