Found someone who has a tranfer case out of D1 with Diff lock. Looking to put it in my 03 Disco. What is the going rate for the TC?

You need to use the 2004 CDL as you can't use a Disco I CDL shifter on a 4HP24.

first off, why would you be attaching a CDL shifter to a transmission?

The LT230 Transfer case works fine with the Disco 1 CDL shifter, you need to slightly bend one of the arms, but it bolts right onto the transfer case and works fine.

not true, cdl shifter has nothing to do with the transmission. Either will work.

I paid $425-450 for my LT but I got the TC, shifter, frame mount and DS for the RRC.

And before you put it in do the output bearing as preventive maintenance.

If you say so. My tcase works fine, why replace the whole thing when I don't even know what shape it is in or what it has gone through. I didn't have to bother with dropping the Tcase. I just installed the output case under the discovery.

320 for a tcase shipped from michigan to South Florida? if it is too good to be true, it probably isn't.

Like I really want worn out gears, diff, and bearings. And how often do Tcases fail? almost never..

Plus junkyards usually keep all their shit out in the rain for it to turn to crap.

Moron.

all this comin' from the guy who claims his friends are running 37's on stock LR axles and not breakin' anything...whatever, you'll never admit how stupid it was to pay 300 bucks for a front output housing when you could have gotten a complete t-case for the same price...

and yes, from all your previous posts, you are a moron

My local junk yard keeps all this kind of stuff inside in old school busses.

I got mine with 88K miles on it for $150 out the door. Of course I have known the owner of the yard for a long, long time and I am one of only a select few that are still allowed to roam out back alone and pick my own parts. Grabbed the case (separated it from a transmission myself) and he was glad to get $150 for it - with the linkage. Normally he gets $250 I think it was?

So $350 shipped is about right, a good buy but not far off.
