Hi all, a bunch of my buddies from base and I are going to be up in the NF off Rt 33 the weekend of 27-28 of August. We're going to have a Land Rover, some j**ps, some Yotas, and a Dodge truck, and we'll be on CB channel 4. If anyone is in the area, feel free to give us a shout out.

David, you want to meet at Sheetz Sunday morning? I'll be there, JohnK is coming and possibly a friend with a Rubi. I sent email to Marco but haven't heard anything.

I'm pretty sure that the powerline trail they are talking about is posted off limits.. The trail looks familar and last time I saw it the forrest service had posted signs on it that had been run over and thrown in bushes.

Well, we should be over there (Harrisonburg) around 1100 on Saturday, not sure where we'll go for food etc... in Harrisonburg. We all will have met up at our base and convoyed over. Where would be a good place in Harrisonburg to get steaks, brewskies, etc?

We probably won't be stopping long, just getting our supplies and rolling (some of our guys have to drive back that night for duty the next day and other military duties) so we are going to try to get to the trails ASAP. But like I said we'll be thru there around 1100...if you miss us, you know where to find us ;) Just give us a shout on the CB (channel 4).

I'll park at the Sheetz as soon as we get to town and sit there while the guys go stock up at a grocery store, my landie is a black lifted DII with a redneck looking homemade lightbar on top and homemade front bumper.

I know some of you guys said you'd be out Sunday...what time you figure you'll be out there?

Hope to see ya'll out there!

I like the Krogers on East Market Street (US 33) about a mile or so East of I-81. They have a good selection of beer/wine, fresh ground bison, and dry ice. There is a Food Lion on US 33 on the West side of town at Waterman Street that you pass on the way to the forest.

I believe we usually meet at the Sheetz on East Market Street (US 33) about a mile or so West of I-81 around 9 AM.

Do you know what trails you are running Saturday? What trails on Sunday? Planning any night ops on Saturday night? Bringing any cool military gear or weapons?

Probably going to run up the mountain to Meadow knob, also we want to hit all those networks of trails there along the Dry River across from the Second Mountain Tr. Last time I was out there there were alot of mud puddles (and we like mud puddles ;) plus the river to play in)

I'm gonna bring a couple of guns...don't know if I'll break 'em out, though. I'll have a $h1tload of drunk Honor Guardsmen on my hands (believe me, these guys and girls know how to drink) so giving them access to firearms probably would not be the smartest thing I could ever do --"Seaman Sychra, what happened to SN -------?" "Well Sir, you see...." :D )

Not sure what day we'll hit what trail, probably just play it by ear. And yeah, we'll be grillin'
