OK, the saga continues..... a few weeks back wife's 02 was slowly settling down over night. The "leave the door open until it pumps up trick" worked until I got new air bags in and installed them......Life was good for about 3 weeks. Then this morning we hit the highway headed out of town for the weekend. About 20 miles down the road started getting a beep and EAS fault warning, the "slow -35 mph max" with all 4 level lights shining brightly. A couple of more miles down the road and we were on the bumpstops. Nothing will raise it up. Any ideas?

You need the have the codes read and repair the problem and clear the codes.

I would say the valve block went bad.
If it was my car, I would change all three, valve block, the driver and the air compressur.

then you should be trouble free for awhile.

Without the ability to extract the DTCs, we're shooting in the dark. Without putting a real gauge on the pump output, we're shooting in the dark. Without the ability to independently manipulate the system, we're shooting in the dark.

It could be something silly like a leaky hose, it could be something serious like a problem with the driver, valve block or the pump.

I have seen so many things fail in EAS that I hesitate to even suggest anything without having the truck in front of me.

That said, I have a new pump and driver block in stock.

On my '02 4.6 I've had all EAS parts replaced in the last 14 months. 3 new airbags, new block, etc. Essentially an entire system overhaul. Pump works fine, car raises and lowers without a problem. System functions as it should.
Got in the truck yesterday morning and as soon as I hit 25, the alarm comes on. MAX SPEED 25mph...
I'm trying to figure this out.

i still havent figured out what is wrong with the 03 that i work on. it comes in once in a while with the front suspension on the bump stops and the only dtc it has is the compressor ran too long. real helpful guys. why dont you give me a dtc that says the suspension is on the bumpstops too. sometimes even with the tools to diagnose the problem you still cant. especially when its intermittent.
